The former Marlian record signee died on Tuesday, according to reports. News of his death broke out on the X app. Ovieo “Confirmed. MohBad is dead. “What a sad, sad day,” he posted.

Mohbad is best known for his hit singles Ponmo, Feel Good, and KPK (Ko Por Ke) with Rexxie.

Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, a Nigerian rapper and musician, has died.
He was 27.
His reason of death is speculated to be a ear infection which was later debunked and claimed to be just an infection after which he died after being administered an injection .

The entertainment industry and fans were in sorrow on Tuesday after news confirmed his demise.
A small video clip circulated on social media depicting the moment the musician was proclaimed dead.

His deceased body was seen in a bus while the guy filming wailed out his name.
Details of the rapper’s death had not been made public at the time of this article.
Many celebrities and musicians have expressed their condolences on social media.

Famous rapper Olamide confirmed the artiste’s death on his own page with an exclamation and a broken heart emoji.
“Damn, Mohbad!” he exclaimed.

In addition, prominent television host Frank Edoho expressed sorrow at Mohbad’s death.
“For a 27-year-old, his voice was far too rich and mature. It’s very depressing! Mohbad, rest in peace!” He put pen to paper.
Many more celebrities and fans have also expressed their amazement and sadness on social media.

Abiola Akinbiyi, better known as Bella Shmurda, a Nigerian singer and songwriter, said in January that Mohbad attempted suicide.

During an interview with media personality Chude Jidenowo, the singer said that the attempt was motivated by disagreements with his record label.
“I don’t have to say it, but I will,” he said. There was a time when Mohbad and I shared an apartment. Because to the label issue, Mohbad planned to jump from the second floor.”

He described how they stopped Mohbad from performing the act after his girlfriend discovered him sitting at the window.

“Something wey fit makes you think you can take your own life. Now, e happen, you go dey write RIP. We loved him.”

“No, there is no love there, and none would speak up. Them dey inside that place. None of them won look anybody’s eye,” Shmurda said.

“Why?” he said, “Because say you dey label. It can’t continue. Someone has to talk.” He also revealed that Mohbad was going to the hospital for hypertension treatment.

2019 saw the release of Mohbad’s debut EP, Light, following his signing a record deal with Marlian Records World.
The EP’s eight songs include performances by Lil Kesh, Davido, and Naira Marley.
He announced his departure from Marlian Records after two years.
On October 5, 2022, Mohbad confronted musician Naira Marley about his choice to hire a different manager to handle his music and commercial matters. Marley said that Mohbad had used domestic violence against him and that his previous boss had given orders for individuals to beat him up.
In November 2022, Mohbad started his own record label named “Imolenization” following the altercation with his boss.
The popular singles Ponmo, Feel Good, and KPK (Ko Por Ke) with Rexxie made Mohbad famous.

He released another project on the 30th of June titled “BLESSED” featuring his colleagues and close friends Bella Shmurda and Zlatan Ibile.

He was nominated three times for The Headies Awards 2022.
