BURNA BOY, J HUS SET TO HEADLINE AFRONATION NIGERIA.

The African Giant “Burna Boy” and Militarian General “J Hus” are set to headline first Afro Nation festival in Nigeria, The two-day event will take place between December 19 and 20 at the Tafawa Balewa Square in Onikan.

The festival lineup boasts other notable acts such as Black Sherif, the Ghanaian rapper, Seyi Vibez, the Nigerian rapper and Nigerian singer and song writer Flavour. Other acts would soon be unveiled.

Lagos will host this December’s events, according to AfroNation, the largest Afrobeats festival in the world. The festival, which has already unveiled editions in Portugal and the US, will debut in Nigeria. Fans of Afrobeats from around the world reacted to the news with excitement because they want to see their favorite musicians play in the nation where the genre started.

“Nigeria is the home to so many international superstars who have made Afrobeats a globally loved genre,” said co-founder SMADE. “This will truly be a full circle moment, bringing the AfroNation show back home to Lagos. We can’t wait for the biggest celebration of African music the world has ever seen!”

Lagos, Adesope Olajide said, is the “home of Afrobeats,” and he promised that the 2023 edition will be a special occasion. According to him, “Afro Nation is the largest festival honoring Afrobeats and Afropop culture in the world, and having two of the biggest acts, Burna & J Hus, perform in its inaugural edition in Lagos, Nigeria (the home of AFROBEATS), will undoubtedly make the 2023 edition in Lagos a one-of-a-kind experience not to be missed.”

Adesope Olajide, the media personality and host of the 2023 Afro Nation festival, said the festival has been at the forefront of celebrating Afrobeats and Afropop culture.

The show’s tickets will be on sale from Thursday on the official Afro Nation website from 10 am.
